Hanchic is a showcase of modern Korean cuisine from a western point of view. Their first location was opened in 2020 in a sleepy strip mall along the eastern part of 8th Street in Koreatown and quickly became a neighborhood favorite. Hanchic was founded by Justin Min, a 1.5 generation Korean American who spent six years cooking at Little Sister as well as other professional kitchens, along with Dustin Lee, and Kevin Son, all of whom have years of hospitality experience in LA. Using their diverse culinary training to employ techniques and ingredients in otherwise unexpected, non-traditional dishes, Hanchic is on a mission to make unique and excellent Korean meals that are reasonably priced and approachable by all.
