Flavor Trippin'

As a life-long sandwich lover, Mason Hereford had always dreamt of opening a sandwich shop. In 2016 he fulfilled this dream by opening Turkey and the Wolf in New Orleans: a restaurant mirroring his playful and innovative culinary persona. In 2017, Bon Appétit named Turkey and the Wolf America’s Best New Restaurant of 2017. Excited to broaden the audience of his craveable creations, Mason Hereford partnered with Local Kitchens to craft Flavor Trippin’, inspired by the name of his best-selling cookbook. Taking the flavors and ethos of Turkey and the Wolf, this menu creates flavorful experiences in nostalgic sandwiches, salads, and sides by playfully combining a variety of textures and flavors. His signature herb mayo brings extra flavor to a turkey twist on the classic BLT. Playing with textures, crunchy and acidic salt and vinegar potato chips is combined with cheese melted over griddled mortadella creating a texturally exciting and flavorful combination. These menu items will remind you of some of your all-time favorite dishes, but in a new uniquely playful and robustly flavorful experience.
